Together we've been renovating properties in the Fargo and lakes area since 2019. In 2024, we decided to turn this side-hustle into a business! We launched Fargo Remodel to redefine what it means to live in Fargo's established neighborhoods. With a deep appreciation for thoughtful design and a passion for intentional living, we create premier, luxury homes that breathe new life into established communities.

Fargo Remodel homes are intended to be spaces for intentional gathering and effortless hosting. We love to host and look for any reason we can celebrate with a group of our favorite people! Our goal is to help others find this same comfort and ease in the spaces they create for their loved ones.

We enjoy working on each aspect of our projects together from concept, to design and construction. Fargo Remodel is a venture in our broader entrepreneurial platform. When we're not remodeling homes, Dawson is the founder of Story and Fields, a strategic communications and advertising agency. Karly is Vice President of Marketing for First Western Bank and operates Karly Schefter Photography.

What we do
Purchase, Renovate and Sell Investment Property
Fargo Remodel purchases homes in Fargo and Minnesota lakes area with the intention of renovating and reselling each property. We work efficiently to fully renovate our properties and return them to the market in 4-5 months. Here's what we look for in a property...
Location: We only purchase homes in established neighborhoods -- as these homes transition, we are doing our part to increase the inventory of move-in-ready homes with modern amenities and finishes.

Good Bones: Fargo Remodel looks for homes with strong foundations, updated electrical, and forced air HVAC systems. We have an eye for homes which have been well cared-for with structural maintenance however may have fallen behind on modern finishes and function.

Quick Closing: Our transactions move efficiently and we work with reliable partners to close quickly. When we identify a project and make an offer, we do not include inspection or financing contingencies.

Bespoke Design & Project Management Consulting
We take on a very limited number of design consulting and project management engagements annually. This ensures we can dedicate the time and energy necessary to each of our projects. We can assist with concepts and renderings, staging and furnishings, or full renovation project management. We're happy to bring our experience and skills to bear with clients who share our dedication to core neighborhoods and exceptional craftsmanship.
